Email spoofing is the creation of email messages with a forged sender address. Messages will appear to have come from someone or somewhere other than the actual source and can easily go unnoticed by the recipient.

For example, the Friendly From name and address could read:

(Friendly From name <friendly from address>)

Bruce Wayne <bwayne@company.com>
Bruce Wayne <brucew@NOTcompany.com>

The system will permutate and protect against multiple versions of the First and Last name including Bruce W, B  Wayne, Bruce.Wayne etc.

The recipient may not be paying attention to the domain name when the From name is someone that they trust.

We protect against this type of impersonation by identifying the email as an external message in the header and we match the senders name to a database of your executives first and last names.
